Not Enough Time in the Day

March 28, 2006

I wish there were just a few more hours in the day... Hours of peace and quiet...no phones, nobody to interupt the time....

Some would say that I am just not using my time effciently.... dang right I'm not. When you have 4 other people and a job demanding time from me... how do I manage "my" time... I don't have any "my" time unless I take it...then I run out of the time to get the important stuff done...

What would I do if I had all the time I wanted? That question is one of the easiest for me to answer...I would be creative....I would paint or quilt or draw or create on the computer. Creating relaxes me and gives me a great sense of self and of accomplishment. Being creative is my gift from God. I feel very strongly that I need to share this gift with others. To help them to cheer them... what ever way I can!

My favorite past time activity at the moment is digital scrapbooking... I can create with out creating a big mess that I would have to clean up... Here is my gallery at scrapbook bytes CLICK HERE to see it.

Just gotta BLOG

March 27, 2006

I am not much of a journal writer.... I know the importance of writing things down. My mother was an extreme journalist. As a little girl I can remember her writing in her journal.

A few years ago when I first looked into blogging I was to lazy to start one. But, in the last few years our family has survived some life altering experiences.... Life changes... priorities change....

For anyone who doesn't know me.... I am a mother of 6 children. Curtis(24) married to Stefanie, Joshua(23), Eric(19), Christy(18), Tory(16) and Melissa(14). I have been married for 25 years this month.... MY DH is in construction and has been commuting back and forth to CA to work. I run my own Personal Care Services business for the handicapped here in MO... I am also a digital artist.

My first experience with a computer was back in high school and it was horrible... it was a computer math class and we had to write a program to figure out the area on a small spot on a tube... or something like that... My next experience is when we bought our first and it was an Educator 64" and it had NO hard drive... Our first real PC was purchased in 1986... and we were given Print Master and that is when my computer designing began... I would create cards and invites with that silly little program. When we upgraded and purchased our first "windows" computer I also upgraded to MS Publisher and started doing a lot of desktop publishing... I am now an avid Photoshop user and 99% of all I create is with PS...

I think this enough for my first entry... later
